I’m in a leadership role and that means standing up and speaking in front of colleagues and clients. It’s felt pretty daunting in the past but since working with Vanessa I feel so much more confident. I recently presented to 300 fellow managers and the feedback I got was really positive. I was doing a lot of training work and relying heavily on PowerPoint, frankly it became a bit of a crutch. Since taking Vanessa’s approach I’m able to ditch probably 90% of my slides and yet my training is much more engaging and entertaining for people. They’re learning a lot more and taking more away with them. It’s boosted my confidence, I’m able to retain more of my points in my head, rather than having to rely on reading off the screen.
